Architecture turns to ruins
1983 Screenprint on cotton rag. A work that grew out of a critical look at Post Modern Architecture and the way architects started dressing up buildings with external additions alluding to various periods of classical architecture, A Doric column here and a bit of baroque there, without any consideration of the interiors and that people had to live and or work inside. Summed up in a comment on Post Modermism by Mies van der Rohe. Architecture has turned to ruins, the basic problems unsolved only out grown. Edition Number 19 of 25. Dimensions 480x640mm. Unframed.
